Milan Design Week 2025
Dionyssomarble via the initiative of Soft Horizons took center stage at Milan Design Week, unveiling a breathtaking celebration of Greek marble’s enduring legacy. The heart of this project lies in its mission to showcase Greece’s rich heritage of marble craftsmanship through a thoroughly modern lens—proving that an ancient tradition can evolve for a contemporary audience.
This project is supported by Enterprise Greece, as part of its strategic initiative to promote Greek marble internationally. The initiative includes the development of the brand “GREEK MARBLE | Then. Now. Forever.” and a series of activations to showcase the unique qualities and strength of the Greek marble industry. The installation is a result of the support and collaboration of leading Greek marble companies, listed alphabetically: Dionyssomarble, FHL I. Kiriakidis, Iktinos Hellas, John Papagiannoulis Bros, Marble Sachanas, Marmyk Iliopoulos, and Stone Group International.
As visitors stepped into the “Soft Horizons” installation, they were greeted by sleek silhouettes and refined textures, each uniquely carved from Greece’s time-honored quarries. The space itself felt like a living narrative—where centuries of tradition converged with innovative design. Warm lighting cast gentle shadows across the marble’s intricate veins, emphasizing both its storied origins and contemporary appeal.
Throughout Milan Design Week, architects, designers, and marble enthusiasts gathered to experience how Greek marble could span eras and aesthetics. In every polished surface and sculpted contour, the dedication of generations of artisans was evident. Meanwhile, interactive displays and storytelling elements explained how sustainable quarrying practices and cutting-edge technology preserve marble’s timeless allure.
By the close of the week, “Soft Horizons” had left an indelible mark on visitors, illustrating that Greek marble—steeped in history—remains poised to shape the future of global design. It was a testament to the combined efforts of Enterprise Greece, the “GREEK MARBLE | Then. Now. Forever.” initiative, and the remarkable collective of Greek marble producers. Their shared passion and expertise brought a new dimension to Milan’s renowned design scene—one where heritage and innovation thrive together, as luminous as the marble that inspired it all.
